I thought I’d leave a quick note to my millions of readers about my Python game. I got to reading the rules of the game I was going to port, and well, it might be too esoteric to be fun solo. So I will play it on paper first to see if it works for electronics. In the meantime, I have a few other ideas involving dice and cards for games that just might be fun. Ages ago I found a website that made a starship combat game with only a poker deck. I wish I could find that site again (it’s not in my bookmarks for some reason.) But needless to say, I think I could create one similarly with some dice and cards too. I’m going to be working on that too, just because I can. 🙂
By the way, Moria is an addictive game like Nethack, and I’ve not even left the town yet to explore the endless dungeon. (I did accidentally kill a homeless person in town though. I feel bad about that.) Anyway, in between trips to the dungeon of Moria, I’ll be working on that game. 🙂
At the local Game-eXchange, there’s a Sega Saturn (US version). It looks in reasonably good shape, but it certainly needs a good cleaning. There’s also a few XBox (originals) there as well. I have often thought about getting another spare XBox, because I only have the one that is working (and one spare.) I have a damaged DVD drive XBox that I might could repair now that no one cares if you open the XBox case. I’ve got enough PS2’s and Wiis (though I think I’ll get another one for good measure.)
The dilemma, I suppose you could call it that, is should I get another Japanese one (and perhaps another Action Replay cart), or an American one and another Action Replay cart. 🙂 It’s not an easy decision, given my two Japanese Saturns are in great shape. Based on the number of games I have, I am always on the lookout for spare PS1s. Because it’s easier to play on the original units than overtax my PS2s. (or Ps3 for that matter.) I have many games on the PS2 that will require them to be on for long stretches as I play. Plus, with my secondary console setups (over here at my PC desk), I’ve got enough room to have all my consoles hooked up to something. 🙂
Well, I’ll have to sleep on it, I guess. I’m not going to be able to figure it out this week anyway. Father’s Day is this weekend, and I’ve got lots of work to do. 🙂
It’s really not worth it anymore. Sure it was fun for a while, but it has become a cesspool of people who generally want to be as wantonly mean and idiotic as they possibly can. They would not act this way in real life, but I am increasingly not so sure about that.
Still, I am done. It was a silly run. It did nothing but make me angry at the wanton ignorance of people and it made certain that reasonable discussion was impossible. We have lost (and not just America, the WORLD) the ability to communicate and think critically. So good riddance, Twitter. You will not be missed.
